building regional rediness –together
Prepared Communities begin with partnerships.
At Partnership for Public Health, we provide the table where first responders, healthcare leaders, town officials, and community organizations come together to plan, train, and prepare, before emergencies strike.
From pandemics to power outages, ice storms to large-scale evacuations, our Emergency Preparedness program ensures that when the unthinkable happens, the Lakes Region is not only ready to respond, but also able to recover and rebuild.

Want to Get Involved? Volunteer With Us.
If you're interested in helping during local emergencies or want to be trained in disaster response, we invite you to become part of our Volunteer Corps.
The time to prepare is before the emergency happens.
Join the people, the plans, and the purpose that protect our communities.
We support two major volunteer-based programs that strengthen community response:
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Be trained to respond to local disasters with skills like fire safety, basic search & rescue, and medical response. Ideal for residents, students, and community leaders.
Training sessions run throughout the year.
Lakes Region Medical Reserve Corps (LR-MRC)
Volunteer your medical or administrative skills to help during health emergencies. Great for healthcare workers, counselors, retirees, interpreters, and more. Join a national movement and support your local public health team.
Community Health In Action
Only 50% of our municipalities had a current public health emergency plan in 2020.
Through CHIP guidance, we’re increasing local readiness and helping towns update, train, and coordinate for faster, safer response.
