Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is currently accepting volunteer applications. Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team believes our diversity is what makes us stronger. Registration is open and we are accepting application to Hybrid-Community Emergency Response Team Basic Training. This program is offered through, Health-University of Utah, Partnership for Public Health, Winnipesaukee Public Health Network<\/em>. The next Community Emergency Response Team Basic Training Class begins on March 5, 2024. This program will be offered through the Laconia Adult Education Program at Laconia High School. Registration is open at<\/strong> CERT REGISTRATION<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Community Emergency Response Team?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates citizens about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team (LR-CERT) Program, created in 2007, educates citizens about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the training program is completed, applications to become a member of the Lakes Region Community Response Team (LR-CERT) may be submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LR-CERT provides volunteer services to area responders to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to natural and man-made disasters.  LR-CERT may also provide assistance for non-emergency projects that help improve safety of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LR-CERT members receive ongoing training and participate in drills and exercises to enhance both person and team emergency preparedness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
