How do I get a COVID-19 vaccine?

To register for a COVID-19 vaccine, visit https://www.vaccines.nh.gov/ and click Find COVID-19 Vaccines.

How do I get a vaccine if I am homebound?

If you need transportation to a vaccination site, call 2-1-1.

If you cannot leave your home, please contact the On-Site Medical Services Homebound Call Center at (603) 338-9292 or vaccinations@on-sitemedservices.com.

Who is eligible for the vaccine?

Everyone over the age of 5 is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in New Hampshire.

Will the vaccine cause me to test positive on a COVID-19 test?

None of the currently available COVID-19 vaccines contain the live COVID-19 virus, so they will not cause someone to test positive on a rapid viral test. However, you may test positive on an antibody test.

Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine if I’m pregnant?

Currently, there are no known risks associated with the COVID-19 vaccine for pregnant individuals. Please speak with your healthcare provider regarding any questions you have about the safety of the vaccine. For more information, click here.

Will any of the COVID-19 vaccines make me sick with COVID-19?

None of the COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States contain the live COVID-19 virus, so it cannot make you sick with COVID-19. The vaccines use other methods to teach your immune system to recognize and defend against the COVID-19 virus. For more information, click here.

Who is eligible for a COVID-19 booster dose?

All Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine recipients over the age of 18 are eligible for a booster dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines at least two months after their initial dose.

Moderna and Pfizer booster doses are now available for anyone over the age of 64, as well as anyone between the ages of 18 and 64 who are either at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19 or have frequent institutional or occupational exposure to COVID-19. At least six months is recommended between the initial vaccination series and the booster dose for both Pfizer and Moderna vaccine recipients.

Can I mix and match my COVID-19 vaccine and booster?

Yes! The FDA has authorized “mixing and matching” COVID-19 vaccines and booster doses. This refers to receiving a booster dose from a different manufacturer than your primary vaccination. For example, someone who received Pfizer vaccines for their primary series may receive a Moderna booster dose.
