Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team (LR-CERT) Program

Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team (LR-CERT) Program, created in 2007, educates

people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.

The Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Training Program will benefit an citizen who takes it.  Individuals will be better prepared to respond to and cope with the aftermath of a disaster.

Once the training program is completed, applications to become a member of the Lakes Region Community Response Team (LR-CERT) may be submitted.

The LR-CERT provides volunteer services to area responders to make communities safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to natural and man-made disasters.  LR-CERT may also provide assistance for non-emergency projects that help improve safety of the community.

LR-CERT members receive ongoing training and participate in drills and exercises to enhance both person and team emergency preparedness.
